About Steve Gant
Steve Gant is a talented musician from the Piedmont Triad Area of North Carolina. With decades of experience, his music captivates audiences with a unique blend of Blues, Classical Rock, Gospel and Jazzy sounds.
Steve Gant Has A Smooth Strong Baritone Voice With A Unbelievable, Versatile Vocal Range And Style. Steve started singing in the sixth grade in the school choir, his first solo was a part written for a soprano, because no one had volunteered to sing, he gladly stepped forward to sing the part. As things would progress, he began to sing with a local a cappella group in Jersey City New Jersey, "Ebony Love" this is where he honed his vocal range. Steve attended the Jersey City Performing Arts High School in its inaugural year 1982. He was often featured as a lead vocalist in school productions, after graduation and starting a family, he chose not to pursue a singing career, believing that raising his young family was more important. Steve used his gift as a Worship Leader at local churches, he also performed solo concerts at Nursing Homes and local prisons, frequently he participated in Community Theater productions staring in roles such as Booker T. Washington in Ragtime, and 14 years as a principle actor, singer and songwriter in "The Jesus Story" additionally Steve was a regular artist at "The Harlem Summer Stage". Sponsored by the world famous Apollo Theater. In recent years Steve's relocated to North Carolina from New Jersey where we met The Love of his life Lalita, she has inspired Steve to revitalized his gift as a songwriter, and performer. Steve's also taught himself to play multiple instruments.
His new Neo Soul songs "Move On" and "True Love" which he wrote for his wife Lalita were recently released on all streaming platforms. Steve’s Motto is all I have are the Gifts God has given me, and I want to share them with the world.
